Neville, the son of Zanu-Pf spokesperson Christopher Mutsvangwa, has been denied bail by Harare magistrate Dennis Mangosi. Neville is charged with multiple felonies, including money laundering and trading in foreign currency.Mutsvangwa, Ellis Majachani, and Simbarashe Tichingana are all charged jointly. He is also accused of violating the Telecommunications Act once more.

The magistrate made a statement in his decision, pointing out that Mutsvangwa’s free finances and the fact that he is a minister’s son may encourage him to evade the court’s jurisdiction. On May 30, he will appear in court again.”Bail is denied because the court determines that the accused may flee because they are a flight risk, despite the fact that the accused is a minister’s son with contacts and the ability to support himself outside the nation,” the judge declared. The state had resisted bail, claiming Mutsvangwa was hard to apprehend after he obstructed the police for hours and was eventually discovered hidden behind bags of trash when the cops broke through.Thomas Chanakira, the prosecutor, also informed the court that the three were already the targets of a mountain of evidence. He warned they might spend up to 25 years in prison if found guilty of these extremely serious charges.
