According to National Immigration Administration, the following countries have signed a mutual visa exemption with China. Chinese citizens who hold a valid passport do not need to apply for a visa for short term visits to these countries.

Note:
*1 The relevant agreement between China and the former Socialist Federal Republic of Yugoslavia currently applies.
*2 The relevant agreement between China and the former Czechoslovak Republic currently applies.
*3 The Agreement between China and the European Union on Mutual Exemption for Short-term Stay Visas on Diplomatic Passport Holders applies.
NBB: Visa-free entry does not mean that one can stay or reside in the country indefinitely. According to the requirement of the agreements, after visa-free entry with the relevant passport, citizens are generally only allowed to stay for no more than 30 days.
If the passport holder needs to stay for more than 30 days, they should apply for extension at the local immigration office as soon as possible.
The text of the relevant agreements can be found in the database on the website of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the People’s Republic of China.
