SAD News. Former Zimbabwe Warriors Coach
Rahman Gumbo reportedly passed away.
News was announced by the veteran broadcaster Ezra Tshisa Sibanda on his Social Media page.
He wrote
“Coach Rah but why why why my brother? I’m devastated and still can’t believe it. I’m heartbroken. How can you just go like that my legend. You will always be a hero!”
His death comes on the eve of Zimbabwe Warriors playing their home match against Nigeria in Rwanda. Before his last helm at the Warriors job. Gumbo was in charge of the humiliating defeat at the National Sports Stadium against the Super Eagles in 2004.
Tributes have started pouring in in from former Warriors defender George Mbwando wrote.
“I just don’t want to believe it and I hope I’m dreaming….😭😭😭”
Gumbo was still reeling from the sack he got in Botswana Morupule Stars FC which he was coaching.
