THE DNA SHOW ZIMBABWE; GODDIE naTINDO THROW BACK

The DNA Show Zimbabwe is one of the most popular shows on national television. They have solved different paternity disputes meant to give peace of mind to disputing parties. The host of the show Tinashe Mugabe has been commended for his professionalism and calmness during the show.
Currently, the trending story is of ‘Tindo and Goddie’. Tindo the young lady involved in the story was born in 1993 making her 29 years old, while Goddie the young man is 24. As the story unfolds, viewers believed Goddie was denying paternity based on the narration by Tindo. She was convincing but a bit aggressive.

Another reason why people believed Tindo was because of her physical stature. She is a dwarf and by nature people sympathized with her.
Goddie agreed that he had unprotected sex with her occasionally, however, his doubt was based on the issue that Tindo was promiscuous. She slept with different guys. Goddie stated that he was pressured by his friends to have sexual relations with Tindo. He alleged that Tindo’s boyfriend was his friend and he encouraged him to have sex with her. He found it weird, however, he did it. From the start Goddie was giggling, one could tell that all was a joke for him and was also confident that the child was not his.
As the story progressed, Tindo narrated the ordeal she dealt with after eloping to Goddie’s family home. She accused his family of using juju on her and prayers from the apostolic sect. She also highlighted the stigma around her physical stature and that as a dwarf, the society looked at her differently.

​Tindo also pointed out that Goddie was once taken in by her family when he came looking for work. Her family helped Goddie in many ways.
Now, when the DNA results came out, viewers were left speechless. The results showed that Goddie was not the father of the child. It was shocking because she had initially stated that Goddie had taken her virginity and Goddie had denied it.
In as much as the child is not Goddie’s, we believe he too played a part in this. Why did he indulge in unprotected sex with her if he was to deny the consequences? What if he took her virginity but that did not result in pregnancy? What if Goddie just used her to fulfill his own curiosity and sexual fantasies?
In as much as Tindo lied about having other guys sleep with her, both should be reprimanded. Never have sex with someone you don’t like or are not ready to deal with if a seed is planted. Tindo is under public scrutiny, while Goddie is giggling somewhere.
Lastly, we say, things are not always what they seem. If in doubt, seek Mr. Mugabe, The DNA Man.

Renowned Zimbabwean journalist took to social media and wrote, “I still maintain that DNA tests should be compulsory on birth and that the service should be provided by the State.
This will solve a lot of heartaches in the future and save courts time from unnecessary battles.
It is not an expensive service when it is rolled out nationwide.”
